I've just observed many Java errors are fixed by using the right Java version. As Ryan pointed out I had to manually change the path in the Settings tab in AtLauncher. chromium-no-extras (requires java-runtime-headless) (make). I'm not an experienced modder or programmer and like I said, I don't use ATLauncher. You'll want to go into what I imagine to be your modpack's properties, and instruct it to run using the legacy Java version, usually by redirecting it to the actual program itself.

Download and install it it won't overwrite preexisting Java installs as Java themselves know different programs may only work on old versions.
When I try to open any of the forms or reports, I get this message: The connection to. Unfortunately I am away from my PC so I can't give links or very detailed information, but consider downloading a Legacy version of Java 8 (there is an archives page managed by Oracle themselves). To fix the issue I downloaded a legacy version of Java and redirected the actual instance to use that version instead. Minecraft 1.12.2 uses specific Java versions and I believe this is true for most versions of Minecraft.
